Organizational Philosophy

'Leading for 100 years into the 21th Century' in the spirit of Siebold's achievements is our organizing philosophy. It is based on a 'respect for human life and dignity, and the improvement of welfare and international cooperation.' We aspire to firmly teach academic knowledge, to nurture promising and talented people who can meet the current demands of society in our time, and to contribute toward the promotion of academic enquiry that focuses on Nagasaki regional area studies, as well as on the region's cultural progress.
